Wendy

This is a tribute to our lovely friend, Wendy, whose birthday it is today.  It may be equivalent to a gift of a dodgy, oversized jumper from a smelly great aunt that you’re never going to wear, but you’re getting it anyway (and I thought you’d prefer watching Westlife to Barry Manilow.  You’re welcome):

I remember all the times

And the evenings full of wine

A wonderful woman

A diamond in the flesh

Dancing on the Wii

The night goes into…

…morning, the children run and play

Happy parents pass the day

Putting all the wrongs to rights

We start to laugh at something

I always realised just how lovely you are, oh, Wendy

Well, we came and you cleaned up our child’s poo

Birthday wishes to you, oh, Wendy

Well, you spoil us and the five of us love you

Happy birthday to you, oh, Wendy

We’re proud of you for Daisydoor Crafts

That people are loving all your hard graft

You’re a super yummy mummy, a very special lady

The fun times are on my mind

And nothing is rhyming, oh, Wendy

Well, we came and you cleaned up our child’s poo

Birthday wishes to you, oh, Wendy

Well, you spoil us and the five of us love you

Happy birthday to you, oh, Wendy

(Instrumental)

Old Ratty’s just a dream, I picture their faces

Shivering in the breeze

The snot was running freely, oh, Wendy

Well, we came and you cleaned up our child’s poo

Birthday wishes to you, oh, Wendy

Well, you spoil us and the five of us love you

Happy birthday to you, oh, Wendy

(Repeat)

Oh, Wendy, won’t you tell me that my dancing is trendy?

Oh, Wendy, don’t be so cruel, just keep it friendly

Oh, Wendy, won’t you tell me that my dancing is trendy?

Happy birthday to you, oh, Wendy 🙂
