That’s What Little Boys Are Made Of…

Long curling lashes, nude bottom flashes, daily knee gashes…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Copious cuddles and kisses, a wealth of near misses…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Soft downy skin, kindness within, never-ending din…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Rough and tumble, clothes in a jumble, tummies a-rumble…

That’s what little boys are made of.

In bruises always covered and in mud always smothered…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Quick to forgive and forget, always getting their socks wet…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Never too old for mummy’s knee, with a penchant for the al fresco wee…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Quick to laugh, quick to cry, quick to ask for reasons ‘Why?’…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Forever running, jumping, wrestling, bumping…

That’s what little boys are made of.

Dirty faces, untied laces, hiding places, no airs and graces…

That’s what little boys are made of.

So much love and affection, in their mum’s eyes, perfection…

That’s what little boys are made of.
